Chestnut Chalet is a beautiful A-Frame cabin designed and built in 1970.
Surrounded by wild Catawba rhododendrons, it offers a relaxing getaway with all the comforts of home. Whether you're looking for a romantic retreat or an adventure-filled family vacation, Chestnut Chalet is the perfect place to stay.
What to Expect During Your Stay
The home is tucked away on tranquil Shootout Mountain at a 3500' elevation with no neighbors in sight and the Chestnut Branch Waterfall steps from your front door. While the cabin feels secluded, it's only a few minutes from nearby towns. A short drive on scenic mountain roads takes you to a variety of shops, galleries, national parks, and trailheads.
The cabin features three spacious bedrooms, a well-appointed kitchen, ultra-fast fiber optic internet, an outdoor log stove, three gas fireplaces, two large decks, and a picnic area with a fire pit for relaxing. The loft also offers a dedicated office space perfect for remote work.

The cabin has three gas fireplaces for cozy winter's nights & parking for three 4x4s. The kitchen offers a coffee station with Keurig & Nespresso coffee makers, a full-sized fridge, dishwasher, microwave, gas stove & everything else you'll need for cooking an amazing cabin meal. A washer & dryer are also available.
